Pre-Design Study of Balai Warga Kelurahan Taman Sari’s Building for Optimization of Building Performance and Design Efficiency Strategies on Material Specification

Abstract
Building performance simulation is increasingly used not only during the building design phase but also in the pre-design phase to support building operations. The predictive capabilities of simulation-assisted control strategies offer unique advantages in optimizing design decisions for material specifications and overall building performance. This study focuses on the Balai Warga Kelurahan Taman Sari building, aiming to explore strategies that enhance building performance and design efficiency by carefully selecting materials and assessing energy use, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. The findings are intended to guide the development of buildings that are both functional and resource-efficient, contributing positively to environmental sustainability and urban infrastructure.
